The Scotts 40 lb. Turf Builder Landscaper's Grass Seed Mix for Tall Fescue Lawns is an all-purpose mix for sunny and shady areas. This 99.9% weed-free seed resists heat, drought, insects and disease. It is also designed to be greener, denser and more durable than Kentucky-31. The grass seed requires full sun and part shade to grow. It covers up to 10,000 sq. ft. of area.

Don't try it No guarantee they don't guarantee it

two 40 lb bags wasted, not too much been a Time and Labor of prepping in the ground getting it ready with mulch and come host going to have a few hairs grow last fall this year nothing came up put more new compost we did it tried a different grass seed in it it's growing good Scott did not guarantee it contacted them never got anywhere with them instead of the bank no quibbles don't believe it do not buy this product

Different grasses germinate at different times. Germination times on label are based upon the grass type in the bag that will germinate the quickest. For Cool Season Grasses (Bluegrass, Ryegrass, and Fescue) Soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees (+12.7 Celsius) for grass seed to germinate. The warmer the soil, the faster the germination. This generally requires daytime temperatures consistently in the 65+ degrees (18.3 Celsius) range for cool season grasses, and 80+ (27+ Celsius) for warm season grasses. We recommend watering 1-2 times per day to keep the seeds moist, until seed germinates. Then, we recommend watering about 1-1 1/2" per week as needed. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination. Weed control used prior to seeding such as a Crabgrass Preventer will prevent seed from germinating.
