Hoping for the best next year

Seed was purchased online, and arrived as projected; however, local weather (lack of rain in my area) made me decide to apply next spring. Target area of lawn is under a canopy of mature pin oaks, so there's a narrow window opening in early spring. Fall might have worked with cool nights and above average precipitation. Hoping for the best next year.
