A very useful tool

I bought this a few years ago and it makes moving and lifting items easy (plus its made in the USA!). Today I used it to lower a 300lb cast iron radiator down the stairs on a hand truck with minimal effort! The brake lever was a big help as well.

Bought this to store a slot car setup for my grandsons. Did not perform as expected. The cam lock Does work well....too well. Its a pia to get it to release. The rope is ALREADY chewed up in several places. Plan on a replacement rope. It does lift heavier objects easily so there is that. Recommend? Hmmmm....

Solid piece of equipment

I only got the top half because that’s all they had left in the store, however, the construction is very good, and the locking brake works excellent. I wanted it for my kids to hoist themselves into their “fort” and the 4:1 ratio and locking brake were exactly what I needed. I used a generic 3/8” double fixed pulley and some off the shelf 3/8” poly rope and it works great.

The Tuff Tug block and tackle was exactly what I was looking for. I had bought a portable generator for our travel trailer and thought I could get the generator in the back of our pickup, I’m older than what I feel. Installed a bracket in the carport ceiling and hung the B/T from it. The concern I had was the rope stay as it did not keep the load from lowering. As soon as I had the weight on the B/T it held securely. Performed better than I expected.
