Like the other review it is extremely difficult to release the tension and freewheel. Nearly impossible to pull to cable out.
Bought a year ago- second job and cannot resolve the above issues yet.
Works great in the pull position only

I purchased the Tuf-Tug Cable Hoist Puller, 20 ft. Single Line, TT25/50-20 CDC online and picked it up via Curb Side Pick-up (Thank You for Curb Side Pickup). This unit was bigger and heavier duty than I had expected. It should do any hoist job I will ever need. I had a lot of trouble releasing the cable the first time until I read a review online about using a screwdriver to jam the cable release latch open. Still I had to put the hoist between my feet and pull the cable out with both hands. The second time I pulled the cable out, it came out a little easier. As for performance, it works great. I used it in double cable mode the first job and in single cable mode the next job. The hoist can pull! I am happy with the purchase. I do wish it had a way to hold the cable release latch open to make it a little easier to pull out the cable.
