Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little birds I received my birds first thing Friday morning. I was pleasantly surprised to find 12 birds when I opened the box. All 12 have survived and transitioned perfectly under their "momma sky" I have had them 4 days so far and as of now I am very happy with my purchase. I can't wait to see how they feather out :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy chicks I received my chicks the other day. 11 are growing quickly, 1 a little slower. All seem healthy and alert. They are going through about 32 ounces of feed a day so I'm not surprised by their daily growth. Very pleased with them.

So if I buy sexed pullets and end up with half or more roosters is there a quarantee?

Asked by: Nicole c
95% is the guaranteed for sexing errors. Most genetics are sexed by color or wing so the accuracy rate is high. Never has there been experience of half roosters

In Billings Mt. we bought just 3 pullets, they are 5 weeks old & they appear to be growing spurs. So, if I have to slaughter all of them, then I was misled & the ratio you report is wrong. Do your rainbow hens have spurs at 5 weeks of age?

Asked by: jenny 55
Rainbows can have spurs so please let us know if the appear to have larger combs around 12 weeks. Chick purchased in the store would be from the displays and they would be able to help sort this out if they do appear to be males

You say 250 eggs per year. is that per chicken or is that for all 10 hens?

Asked by: Maetexas
Great question. That would be per hen as they grow into adulthood and reach maturity for laying

Can you mix and match as long as there are 10 total?

Asked by: Barbarabes
There is not currently the ability to mix and match for each selection. There are various assortment selections to choose from if you do not want the same breed for all ten chicks

Will these do well in south Texas heat?

Asked by: DKST
Good question. Yes, they do well in the southern heat as they originate genetics from the south and are bred to be hardy to the heat. The are excellent foragers as well
