Purchased this as a replacement for a Pleasant Hearth that worked fine but was getting older so time to get newer equipment. It's essentially the same stove. All components are the same except for the hopper on the Pelpro is way better at 60llbs instead of 40.
Long story short the purchase was perfect. Enfield, Ct store manager interrupted her day to answer shipping questions and actually imputed the order seeing I was older and might struggle a bit.
Stove came really quick. Tractor trailer had a lift gate so getting it down was easy. Box torn but crated so well there was no damage. Installed right where Pleasant Hearth was with no vent pipe modifications needed. Followed very good instructions, the unit fired right up and has been working great. Quieter then the old stove but perhaps that's because it's newer.
I rate Tractor Supply a 5 star on this and I don't do that pretty much ever.

THE LAST TRACTOR SUPPLY, AND PELPRO, PURCHASE.

Horribly disappointing, not only with this all-but-worthless stove, but also with the extremely poor Tractor Supply, and Pelpro customer service. I was looking for a stove to provide heat for a basement that I had finished, with the finished square footage @ ~700. I decided on this model, stating it is rated for 1500 sq ft. After having this stove professionally installed, I discovered how that this stove could not adequately heat less than half of this claim. Contacted Pelpro with these concerns, only to be told to have the unit assessed, as if they were oblivious to both the wait, and expense, of having a professional return to inspect the stove. At my expense, I was told that the stove was defective. Contacted Pelpro once again, only to be given simple troubleshooting ideas that were looked into initially. I then contacted Tractor Supply, who declined to make things rights, with the window to return, or exchange, the stove had expired due to waiting for a professional to tell me this stove was scrap metal. Meanwhile, Pelpro eventually returns contact with more worthless information, ignoring my report to them from the professional, as they suggested. So now, with over 2k invested, well, more accurately, flushed. My last Tractor Supply purchase, my last dealing with Pelpro.

HUGE PIECE OF GARBAGE

This was the largest waste of money! Purchased in June, finally unboxed and hooked up in October. This thing hasn't worked properly since the day we started it. Called TSC to ask for a replacement and was sent to PellPro directly. This is where we were told, "PellPro is a DIY company where you can fix it yourself". That statement in and of itself is a huge red flag! Wouldn't reputable company want to fix their products and not make the consumer trouble shoot? After replacing several parts, and working on it more hours than it actually functioned PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BRAND!!!!!!!

Yes, this unit does not have an ash pan, it uses just the firepot.
