Q: Does this pellet stove ever turn off at all even in thermostat mode? I just purchased and installed one in our guest quarters and the temp set to 70 and stays on past 84. It only shuts down the Blower motor but flame inside still heats with flame motor.

- A: Thank you for your question. This stove is designed to only work in a High/Low thermostat mode. That means that it will operate between the setting that you have the control board set to and setting one. if it is calling for heat, it will bump up to the higher heat range and if it is not calling for heat it will settle down to setting one. There is a minimum feed rate that will be maintained that can cause the temperatures to overshoot the setpoint. This typically happens in warmer weather and in small well insulated buildings. The stove has a lot of thick smoke that comes out of the air-intake pipe when I shut the stove down and fills the house with smoke that burn my eyes.
