For the very first time, Martin Wheel is offering Universal Fit Wheelbarrow Wheels, available in Flat Free or pneumatic tires. This Martin Wheel 480/400-8 16 in. Wheelbarrow and Garden Cart Wheel with Universal Hub is a lightweight pneumatic rib tire mounted on a one-piece welded steel wheel with an industrial ball bearing hub. Comes complete with universal hub spacers to fit the most popular lawn carts and wheelbarrows. This general purpose pneumatic wheel is used on most 6 cu/ft wheelbarrows.

  • A: Hi Cliff! The Martin Wheel 480/400-8 universal hub wheel with a 5/8-inch ball bearing does not come with a 9/16-inch axle adapter included in its spacer kit.

Q: Will that wheel work on a 3/4" axle and is one of those hub adaptors included? It would help if all the sizes were listed.

  • A: No, this is meant for a 5/8 in. axle. The included spacers allow for a longer hub length (up to 6” centered). Q: need to know the size of the axle hub. My axle only sticks out 3- 3/8" from the cart.
