Did not come as variety as the description says. we got all the same kind of birds. i reached out and they said its was not what "variety pack" meant. also i ordered 20 and 5 died. i have since then purchased more chicks at other places and none have died.

I ordered 10 assorted color egg production chicks in February, unfortunately one chick was dying as I unboxed them from the post office, which was sad, but the other 9 made it. I wasn’t sure how much assortment I had, because at the time they all looked the same - I had 5 chipmunk and 4 yellow chicks. As they feathered out I was excited to see I had a few different eggers, at 4 weeks I learned one of the yellow chicks was turning out to be a pretty aggressive rooster- so then I was down to 8 chicks from the online order. My husband and I went to tractor supply and hand picked out 4 extra chicks- two Smokey Pearl, two Americana. Now all the girls have feathered out and been released to the coop and it’s going well. Everyone at tractor supply in the puyallup store and online were so helpful with my questions and concerns as a first time chicken owner, I think ordering online was good and fine but as it was still a little cold here it was a little nerve-wracking…I was pretty worried about the newly hatched chicks in the beginning. The assortment I think we got from Hoovers online order is as follows: olive eggers, starlight green eggers, and prairie bluebells. But I’m still figuring it out. I’ve attached a few pictures. Overall really pleased, sad about the chick we lost, sad about the rooster we ended up getting, but now we have a happy dozen in the coop. So from the online order they’ve feathered out as: 2 red ladies, 2 light brown, one dark brown, and three white with red heads. We have two gorgeous Smokey pearls (white, and white with black spots) and two Americana (red/black speckled, black/white speckled) so we have a fun assortment of colors & it’s finally easy to tell them apart :) thanks Hoovers and thank you tractor supply.

Only one arrived alive and in a very week state. They could have easily overnighted the chicks but they put them on a truck and ask for them to be delivered 4 days after they ship- 4 days no food, water or heat. Also good luck getting ahold of anyone at the Customer Support- I have called multiple times - asked to be called back NOTHING. I asked to be connected online NOTHING. Maybe a terrible review will get them to response to their GUARANTEED ALIVE policy. Only order if you want guaranteed dead chicks.

The chicks shipped out monday and didn't get delivered till Thursday- no food or water. No way to overnight. We lost 8 of the 10 in the first 3 days. The two that survived aren't looking like they will survive and I don't blame the poor babies.
