4/10 died within first 3 days

The chicks I got from Hoover’s hatchery are very healthy. They came to my post office and they called me right away. I would buy my chicks from Hoover’s again.

1. Chicks can take a while to ship. They ship weekly based on orders received. The website should state this. 2. I received absolutely no updates when my shipment of chicks was sent out. Only got a call from the post office once they got them in hand. 3. They shipped my orders without any heat, in December. There is no mention that they will or will not include heat on the website.But do be noted, they don't. I think this greatly contributed to my losses. I've never had chick orders in the winter NOT come with some sort of heating pad before. This was a first. 4. Unless you call the hatchery separately from your TSC order, they will not come vaccinated. TSC website should also mention this. 5. I don't know what happened with my chicks but I now only have 9/20 alive. (Yes, LESS THAN HALF) All of my dead chicks died within 72hrs of receiving them. All 5 of the Silver Laced Wyandottes breed arrived very weak and quickly died off despite my best efforts to save them. I only got refunded for 5 because the others died right outside of their 48hr guarantee. And I mean barely hours outside of the window and I noted on the phone with TSC customer service that they had been sick since arrival. All of the chicks had a warm, new brooder space and clean water and fresh food. Again, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE IN THE WINTER.

All 10 chicks arrived healthy and happy. However, my 5 Gold Laced are not correct. They seem to be Rhode Island Reds.
