Q: It states within the Product Details that "Keypad tones can be silenced". How? I don't see this information in the instructions and would like to eliminate the beeping.

A: Thank you for reaching out. Below are the step-by-step instructions to silence the keypad tones: 1. Open the unit using the provided backup keys. 2. Locate the learn button on the interior roof of the unit. 3. Press and hold the learn button. A beep will sound, and the keypad backlighting will turn green and remain illuminated. 4. Press and hold the learn button a second time. The keypad will beep twice. 5. Press and hold the learn button a third time. The keypad will beep three times. 6. Simultaneously press buttons 2 and 3 on the keypad. You will see three flashing lights, indicating that the procedure is complete.

Q: How change battery in safe

Once opened you will locate a battery compartment on the roof of the safe. Please disconnect the current battery and connect the new one. Easy to program the code and to re-program; the tray slides out a couple inches but only while in the typical counter top position; Not sure where I want to mount this safe since it must be screwed onto a horizontal surface and I really don't want to damage any wooden surfaces anywhere in my home. I don't want the audible beep whenever I press the keys but am not sure how to disable that feature; the key pads are not fingerprint scanners so, don't get your hopes up about that; all-in-all, you can't beat the quality and features for the price.

I am REALLY disappointed in this purchase. Almost nothing worked as advertised, except for the key to open the safe manually. Details of my issues are: - Foam padding on inside of safe was falling down, glue was already failing - Red LED light was completely inoperative - “Learn” function for setting your own access code did not work at all - Preset access code (1234) didn’t open the safe, just made a whirring sound when entered but the door didn’t open - Slide out tray seemed like a nice feature, but in actuality is just a spring loaded jack-in-the-box that slams out roughly when the door pops open.

Great little safe for quick access

Great little safe. Drawer pops out when you open it. Nice red led to illuminate when dark. Holds my Glock 19 and an extra clip. Was easy to install except for taking out the drawer. It’s tough to find the little tab in the middle of the drawer. You can’t see it as the foam surrounds it. You have to get to it from the top of the drawer, not the bottom. The tab is metal not plastic as directions state. You put your finger through the top of the drawer in the middle and move the tab over. The drawer will then slide out allowing you to access the holes in the bottom of the safe to mount bolts to secure to the shelf. When you are done mounting the safe, you can then slide the drawer back in gently. It’s not that easy to slide it back in either it takes a little bit of work.
