A half-size larger size would perhaps been better if the shoe was too short or a wide if the shoe was too narrow. Based on your reference to bruises heels, it sounds like you have already worn your shoes. For future purposes, we do offer free returns within the U.S. Simply try your new shoes on well in the comfort of your home to verify fit. If after trying the shoes on they do not fit, simply return the shoes.
