Q: Can I leave the deicer in there when it’s not plugged in?
3 months ago- A: Hello, Kris Yes, you can leave the deicer in the tank when not plugged in. I would recommend you make sure you clean the unit to keep the lime and calcium buildup off, as this will void the warranty. Thank you,3 months agoHelpful?
Q: Can you use it in a bath tub to heat the water if so how hot does it get
4 months ago- A: No, the Farm Innovators 1,500W Drain-Plug De-Icer should not be used in a bathtub to heat water. This is an outdoor farm utility product designed solely to prevent freezing, not to heat water for human use, and using it incorrectly poses significant safety risks.4 months agoHelpful?
Q: My stock tank does not have a drain plug. Can I just drop this in the water for a while to heat it up and de-ice it?
4 months ago- A: Hello, thank you for your question. No. If your tank doesn’t have a drain plug and you want a heater you can safely immerse, you should use a submersible bucket or stock tank de-icer that’s designed to sit freely in the water, not a drain-plug style heater.4 months agoHelpful?
Q: I bought a new tank heater less than a year ago. Every time it kicks on when its cold it kicks off my GFCI outlet. My outlet is about a year old.
5 months ago- A: Hello Eric, Thank you for reaching out to Farm Innovators. There are many factors why your GFCI is tripping. GFCI Tripping: • Moisture or Water in the Receptacle. • Conductive Dust or Debris. • Wire Deterioration. • Ground Fault in the Circuit. • Faulty or Old Outlet. • Calcium and Lime Build up. (Recommend to clean before storing and every 30 days while using) Calcium and Lime build causes electric surges and uneven heating causing the GFCI to trip. This will void the warranty. Thank you,5 months agoHelpful?
