Rated 2 out of 5 by from Corrodes quickly My previous auto-watering trough lasted for years before corroding and pitting. This one lasted about two months. The flow valve sticks and bowl looks terrible. I would not recommend this for long term, outdoor usage or livestock use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Have been using these waterers for years, have 8 of them. If properly installed, they work great. Have to make sure not to turn the float when tightening the nut on the valve side. There is almost nothing that can go wrong with them, simple design and you can order replacement rebuild kits if the float get broken. Strongly recommend these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for my two huge Dobermans I have two 80 lb Doberman pups that chew on everything, including any watering bowls which usually dumps out the water. They drink copious amounts of water, too. This has worked well with my stainless steel braided water line attached.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Float sticks!!!! I bought three of these for my horse stalls. In the beginning the float would stick and not shut off. After several water accidents and With a little maneuvering I finally got the float to not stick. I’ve had them since April 2017 so after 7-8 months later the issue has returned and nothing seems to fix it. I have had two very bad floods in two different stalls and last night was very cold. Found one of my horses this am standing in a couple of inches of water. It also bleeds to the two stalls beside him. What a mess to clean up and loss of fresh bedding. Thank goodness for pellet bedding. It is very absorbent. Changing water system to float in galvanized oval bucket. The float at the horse tank never sticks. This system causes more problems and waste of money for me to recommend to anyone.

How do you hook it up to a faucet? It has a female thread and no hose I have used had a female thread on both ends.

Asked by: Cliff Ward
The manufacturer advised that it would require a garden hose thread adapter (1/2" Female NPT).

Will this work from gravity feed or does it have to be from a water pump at 20psi?

Asked by: scooterkb
It will work with a gravity feed. It will just fill much slower.
