I have a horse who spreads out his hay in his stall and makes a huge mess. I was hoping to find something that wasn't too tall for him because he's only 13HH. I liked the reviews on this one and the price is fantastic, so I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. It was very easy to install using a few wood screws, and so far it's working very well. I can't yet speak to its durability, but I didn't see any weak spots or areas of concern. The only caveat is that it is a little smaller than some, so if your horse has a particularly large head it may not be the best option - be sure to check the dimensions.

Don’t waste your time or money. Huge disappointment! We have quite a few Tarter products that are great quality and have held up well so when I saw this feeder I immediately ordered 4 for our new barn. Bad choice! This feeder is very cheaply made with absolutely no finishing at all. The edges were sharp along the top edge on all 4 feeders and the plastic on 3 out of the 4 was warped. The drains in the bottom were not secured well, with one bump from a rake they would have come off. I cannot believe this is a Tarter product. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
