Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! I bought this when I had to leave horses in stalls while I was working 10 hour days during really cold days. I felt bad because their water would freeze. These buckets are great! Water was literally warm on very cold days. I will be buying a couple more for next winter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Works as it should. I would rather the heating element be completely enclosed as my horses drop bits of hay in their water. It gets stuck down in the slots and is hard to clean

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for Goat’s and horses I bought 5 of these 11 years ago and every one is still working great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Perfect for two horses and so much easier to deal with than a heater in a 90 gallon tank.i actually have it inside a dry stock tank.keeps it out of the wind.dont know what the electric bill will be yet but sure is better than frozen water buckets

Will this shut off if it is accidentally tipped over

Asked by: MBw1
If tipped over and water spills out, the heating element would still turn on, but only for a very short period of time, around 30 seconds. Then it would shut off. If left like this, the element will cycle on again when it gets cold enough, maybe 2-3 hours later, but again will only be on for about 30 seconds before shutting off.

Will it shut off if the horses drink all the water out of it?

Asked by: Mazinn
No, it will not. It will continue to cycle on and off as the thermostat will now be sensing the ambient air temperature. However, when out of water, the heater will only cycle on for about 30 seconds every 1-2 hours.
