Q: Would this heater have any issues working at an elevation of 7,000 ft?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, our gas burning appliances can be used up to 5,000 feet above sea level. However, it may not function properly at elevations above 4,500 feet. Air is thinner at higher elevations and gas burning appliances require a good amount of oxygen for combustion. Should you need any additional information, please feel free to give us a call at 877-447-4768 or email at customerservice@ghpgroupinc.com. Thank you! - GHP Group

Q: what is the difference between infrared heater and a radiant heater?

1 Answer
  • A: Infrared heaters and radiant heaters are one and the same. The term “radiant heater” tells you that some kind of radiation is used to heat up a room. Whereas the name “infrared heater” specifies that infrared radiation generates the heat. Generally, the radiation that we perceive as warmth is always infrared heat.

I’ve only used it twice. Both times no problems. I bought it for back up heater because I loose power a lot.
