a year ago- A: Unfortunately, this machine will not run on natural gas. It is designed to run on propane or gasoline only. We cannot recommend or encourage the modification of the generator in this fashion as it will void your emissions warranty. We have been advised by environmental agencies that unless we have certified the emissions after conversion with them, we can no longer make the recommendation. The conversion company will have this responsibility. We are very sorry as we understand how common of a request this is. Q: Since this is a 240/120V unit, normally the total load would be expected to be split 1/2 and 1/2 on each 120V leg. How much imbalance is OK on this unit. Can the loads be split 25% / 75%, or even 0, 100% on the individual legs?
2 years ago- A: Receptacles L14-30 and 14-50R can provide 120 or 240 volts. Remember that the generator will only ever put out what is asked of it. So, if you plug in a load that requires 240 volts, it will give off that. In regard to the household outlets on the control panel, they are rated for 120 volts only. Both receptacles do not combine to produce 240 bolts. They will only ever produce 120 volts. You can utilize all of the receptacles on the control panel at the same time, making sure not to overload the generator, as overloading can potentially damage the generator and any appliances attached to it.
