Carry-On Trailer Spindle Kit is for use on a 2,000 lb. axle beam. This spindle kit includes a 1-1/16 in. spindle, a castle nut, and a cotter pin. The maximum weight capacity of the 1-1/16 in. spindle kit is 1,250 lb. The spindle kit measures 2.25 in. L x 3.75 in. W x 11.25 in. H.

Q: My axle broke, and I cannot find a replacement for it online. Can you tell me how I go about that. The ones I do see are twice as much as the original trailer cost.

- A: In the end, we had to fabricate an axle from scratch. Though, the tour on this journey was long. I was sent to groundworks, who sent me to precision products, who sent me to agri fab, who, sent me back to tractor supply. Where a nice man in Customer Service spent 90 minutes doing everything in his power plus to help me fix my problem. In the end it was determined because this came from China there would be no fix, and he suggested a machinist. Thankfully my husband is handy, and bought the rod at Lowes, brought it home to his workshop and fabricated a new axle. But I want to give a shout out the Customer Service for going way above the call of duty to try and help us. While I was a bit frustrated, I cannot fault Tractor Supply, because when they were done, I knew for a fact the part was no where to be found. Thank you all for your help, it was appreciated.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: what is the OD of the weld stub or ID of axle tube?

- A: Stub raw OD is 1 ¼” it is not a snug fit for the axle tube. This is a replacement part only for all types of axles.7 years agoHelpful?

Q: What is the depth that this can be inserted into the axle tube?

- A: It will depend on the size tire and wheel and the width of the trailer. You will want about 1" of tire and frame clearance. Example: If you use a narrow tire and wheel then you can insert it deeper. If you use a wider tire and wheel then it would not be inserted that deep.9 years agoHelpful?
Q: How do I install this spindle? It looks like the existing spindle on my 5X8 trailer is welded. If that's the case, I'm not able to install this replacement spindle.
