ST stands for Special Trailer. This designation identifies tires intended for trailers rather than passenger cars or light trucks.
These terms describe how the tire’s internal cords are arranged. Radial cords run across the tire from bead to bead, while bias-ply cords run diagonally in overlapping layers.
A tire by itself doesn't include a wheel. A mounted tire-and-wheel assembly includes the tire already installed on a wheel, so check the listing description to see what's included.
A tubeless tire holds air without a separate inner tube, forming an airtight chamber with the wheel. A tube-type tire has a separate inner tube to contain the air.
Look for the DOT Tire Identification Number on the sidewall. On tires made since 2000, the last four digits show the manufacturing week and year. For example, 1225 means the tire was made during the 12th week of 2025. The full number may appear on only one side.
