Beautiful in the garden & strong well built

OMG! This is the ACTUAL Rabbit Hutch @ Shakespeare’s Tudor House & Farm in England. It’s very sturdy but you have to put it together yourself. It’s so beautiful when built & VERY STRONG “walking dead proof.” I actually had someone cut the bottom wire & try to get my bunny Oreo & Oreo hid in the locked top & THEIF failed. Oreo hopped out next morning to greet me and I picked him up and he became an indoor bunny. This one is so beautiful in the garden too. It needs some custom adaptations that are easy to do for the Handyman or woman with a jigsaw. Where do you feed & water them? Shakespeare’s farm has wood slats between the attic and the loft and they put a hay bale in that to feed there’s. I took a jigsaw & added a smaller hay loft with wire & a hole to fit a water bottle neck and that gets changed from the attic top. Big ceramic Water dish on the bottom with a plant sprinkler aimed @ it on a waterhose timer is great until winter. I cut a jigsaw square in the floor of the loft & dropped a pellet silo from the top loft “Jerry rigged.” That kept it neat to look @ from outside. IF you don’t open it up and look at them daily…NAIL the really sweet board with the cute pink heart UP and open. The bunnies knock them down and then they get trapped in the top possibly away from food or water. 2nd issue is with all bunny hutches on the market so far…you need to add a bottom layer of large rabbit wire or they dig out into the wild. You might want that. Mine were expensive fur rabbits & I didn’t want that! It’s really gorgeous in your garden though as a decorative feature.

Best Hutch on the Market

This is the BEST outdoor hutch I have ever seen.  Extremely well built and LARGE predator proof, Zombie proof & human proof with Locks added, except for wire clippers.  This Hutch is currently in use @ William Shakespeare historic farms in Warwickshire, England with 1 major modification…the top board between hutch and roof is slotted for HAY to be added in the attic.  Having seen this in England with this Hutch, I took a jigsaw and cut a hole + large hole rabbit wire.+ a square hole & dropped a pellet feeder through it wired to eye hooks + a small hole For a flat bottom water bottle.  That worked well outside until someone took wire cutters to the back of mine. I also added large hole rabbit wire to the bottom but have todo this with ALL rabbit hutches on the market now.   William Shakespeare Farm has there’s on flagstone not dirt.  I added a garden timed daily watering system & Wired a spray nozzle to daily spray water into a heavy ceramic bowl on the bottom floor to ditch the top water bottles. I had 2 types of trouble with mine, they chewed the cute heart latch holding the door to the bottom open & isolated 1 rabbit from water & the other from food.  That’s a single nail added to the flap door or daily check. It’s a big hutch & easily held 3-4 female larger Creme de Argent rabbits together comfortably.  Mucking it out every 2-3 months is like mucking stables. It’s held up better than a longer/narrower  designed modern hutch after 3-4 years of outdoor use.  Predators got in my longer modern hutch easily.  The Tudor has substantial Decorative wood slats over the top floor wire that is more predator proof.  My Rabbits chewed up the interior partitions but not the heavy exterior wood walls.  This year, I’m going to add an “Omlet” attachment where the wire got cut & an omlet tunnel & omlet run for my non-breeders.  Omlet plastic tunnels are not completely chewproof!  I’m delighted this is on sale but they are THE BEST rabbit hutch I know of & I don’t want them to Stop making them for lack of sales.  They’re also beautiful & picturesque in the Garden.

Yes, I recommend this product.
