The Tarter 68 in. Bucket Rake is great for clearing debris and overgrown vegetation. The steel construction prevents damage to the bucket rake from everyday use and stubborn ground. Q: Can this bucket rake be a substitute for a rock rake? Is it able to separate rocks from the soil and will the rocks collect into the bucket. I need to clear riding areas of rocks without digging into the soil.

- A: This is not a replacement for a a rock rake. It will not separate the rocks from dirt. It may pick the rocks but you will also gather dirt.7 years agoHelpful?

Used to clear dense overgrowth of grape vines, wild rose bushes, brush and small trees from borders of meadows and woods. Was also able to pull most of the vines down which were damaging the hardwood trees by back dragging the base of the vines away from trees. Since the tines are not sharpened was able to push and pull brush from the ground rather than just cutting them off to then regrow. Made the clearing job much easier than using any form of hand tools.
