  • AI-generated

Q: Would this be ok to feed during trailering?

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, Standlee Premium Western Forage Alfalfa Hay Chopped Horse Feed is ok to feed during trailering, but it requires specific safety precautions. Because it is chopped into short 2-to-4-inch pieces rather than left as long-stem hay, feeding it dry in a moving trailer significantly increases the risks of choke and respiratory irritation from airborne particles.

Perfect for my older horse

The product is wonderful. It’s easy to transport without mess due to being contained in a bag. Less waste than baled hay. But it often is not in stock and is not available as a subscription, so keeping a supply on hand is frustrating.
