This product is absolutely terrible. I’ve been feeding my animals hay for years—from local farms and big-box stores—and I’ve never had a problem like this. This is the first hay I’ve ever bought that my animals flat-out refused to eat. It was basically nothing but dust. The only thing it was good for was getting tossed on the ground and thrown away.

We’ve been purchasing this brand of alfalfa from this Standlee brand because it’s the only convenient option in our area right now. But this last purchase we noticed the weight a little lighter than the package says of 50 pounds. Exactly 35 pounds but charged for all 50. I went to return to tractor supply and they gave a discount for it BUT STANDLEE BRAND SHAME ON YOU!

I’ve been feeding Standlee alfalfa hay and timothy hay exclusively this winter. It has been excellent and consistent not dusty as some reviews say. Only 2 bales since october were not perfect, one was crumbly and the other had a piece of twine in it. My TSCstore would replace it as needed. I order 60-70 bales a month. My horses love it and they look great on it. They are space savers and i can control the amount based off of the weight of the bale- no waste. The bales i receive are fresh and dust free- which a lot of local hay is not dust free or “fresh”. Also, the compaction of the hay slows eating down- so i can feed in tubs, at ground level, no hay nets to mess up dental and the horses eat in a natural position. Great product! I can’t say enough good things about it. The price could be lower, but if bought in bulk discounts are offered. Love love love, I dont think i can go back to local bales, this is a premium product.

Out of the last 5 I’ve bought 2 were moldy. I don’t live close enough or go to town enough to return so wasted money
