Standlee Alfalfa Mini Pellets are rich in protein and digestible energy and support hindgut health. The smaller pellet size offers a more convenient, easy-to-measure feeding option while maintaining the same high-quality nutrition and supports overall healthy digestion.
Standlee recommends feeding Alfalfa Mini Pellets to growing and performance horses, and pregnant or lactating mares. For increased hydration and horses with dental issues, mini pellets are recommended to be fed wet, soaked in water (2 parts water to 1 part mini pellets) for 30 minutes or until properly softened. Standlee recommends that pelleted forage is not the sole source of forage for horses since feeding some long-stem forage may help eliminate boredom and prevent stall vices.
