It is what it is.........It's a simple spring thermometer. It seems to be working fine for me. If you want bells and whistles, don't buy this product.......go with an infrared. I got it on sale, and wouldn't pay full price for it, but it does the job.

junk furnace owner from
inaccuratehad for one year. never read accurate. was at least 100F shy of actual when new. more than 200F shy of actual now. good thing we have enough sense to feel a hot stove instead of relying on this. If you overheat the firebox, they won't honor your warranty if you saud their gauge didn't read correctly
