Our easy-to-install chimney kit is designed to stay cool on the outside, provide a hot draft on the inside, boost stove efficiency, and provide for a fire-safe design that protects the chimney and the building. This triple wall pipe chimney kit includes chimney adapters, snap-lock adapter with trim, 9 in. Good Venting practice is to have as much vertical before doing any turns for a best draft. Stove pipe can not be ran through any building structures as code but the Class A insulated chimney, like the Duraplus that TSC sells, could be have the wall thimble installed in a window if they meet the specific framing requirements as per the instructions." A complete kit with abysmal instructions

On the positive side, once installed, this kit performs flawlessly. Getting to the point of installation, though, is the challenge. It's not made easier by the terrible instructions that all but ignore the most critical aspect of the installation process where the chimney pipe meets the stove pipe, or the maddeningly tiny illustrations that lack any meaningfully useful visual aid.
I was prepared for the construction aspect of the process: building a noncombustible wall, punching through the building shell, framing in the support for the chimney and liner, so that doesn't factor into my assessment of the chimney itself. I'm not sure how a recent reviewer was able to complete a through the wall installation in 15 minutes. I'd agree that installation of the chimney itself was as easy as pie...but not until the work of the thimble installation was done. Without good instructions, I found myself spending a lot more time than should have been necessary to get it assembled.
Aside from that, though, the quality of the product is very good and it works very well. I'm especially pleased that it's made in the USA. TSC's price was the best I found anywhere, even after an exhaustive search on the net.
I shared the same situation as another reviewer who needed a 12" through the wall section of chimney (the kit comes with a 9" section). I brought this to the attention of the staff at TSC and they swapped one for the other, with me only having to pay the difference in the cost for the longer pipe. Once again, TSC staff proved to be the single greatest reason for shopping at a chain store. It's because of them that TSC has become my first stop for many of the items they sell.

They don't tell you

If your wall is thicker than 6" you have to special order a 12" through the wall pipe. The note at the bottom says "stainless steel cap", that is the only item in the kit that is stainless steel. All other parts are galvanized.
