- A: We don’t recommend off-label use or cross-species use of any of our products, even the all-natural/non-medicated products, because there are different manufacturing measures taken for horse products to further ensure the safety of those products for horses. We also can’t guarantee consistent or safe consumption rates of cattle products by horses as these products aren’t made for horses or tested on horses. While many horse owners choose to use products cross-species or off-label, they are accepting any risk associated with that practice. We suggest the Purina Free Balance 12:12 (loose or block mineral) or Purina Equi-Tub for horses. Let us know if you have any additional questions.2 years agoHelpful?
