Goats will not touch it

The goats prefer the molasses style and will not touch this. So I put it on top of their protein tub so rain will wash ingredients into the block they prefer. But this block is so hard, nothing is able to penetrate, which may be why the goats are not using it?
No, I do not recommend this product.
