Item Information

Are your chickens cooped up? Give them the space they need with the OverEZ Chicken Coop (Patented No. D804,737). We noticed that many chicken coops on the market are only made for having chickens seasonally and they didn't come with a floor. So we got to work creating a chicken coop that will meet all your needs and will last many years. It is made in the USA and built by Amish trained craftsmen! Whether you live in the south with high humidity and heat or in the north with subfreezing temperatures and snow, this chicken coop can be for you.

  • Constructed out of wood and is heavy-duty
  • Can be used in cold and hot climates
  • Assembles in less than 30 minutes with only a screw gun
  • Easy-to read instructions and a video to assist you with assembly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent craftsmanship! This chicken coop is built to last and my chickens love it! Setting it up was easy and the pieces were equipped with the necessary hardware. All that you need is a small power drill. I built the small one by myself, it was that easy. It can be done in half an hour. I highly recommend the OverEz chicken coop, and so do my chickens!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made I bought the small one and although it's a little smaller than I imagined, it is really well made. My only complaints are the roof arrived with a dent, the top roosting stick wouldn't fit in the cutout on the side with the large door and I really wanted the wheel kit that is way overpriced on the vendors website. Tractor supply doesn't carry it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best built chicken coop...EVER! This is my second one. I just purchased the small size to have more room for the flock. Well built, easy to clean, and pretty to look at as well!

Is the wood strong and weatherized? How long will this coop last and can it sub stain jerseys crazy weather?

Asked by: Whitney2411
The siding is LP Smartpanel, which is the best in its class. It is pre-primed then painted with Sherwin Williams paint. The roof is metal, which holds up longer than shingles.

Is there an enclosure for the chickens under the hutch? The picture shows a space but I can't tell if it's enclosed. And, is there a tray for cleaning the floor?

Asked by: Kuehling
We do have wire panels as an additional add on, they are installed around the bottom to allow chickens to go underneath, this is only recommended if a wire pen/run is attached to it. As for cleaning the floor, there is not a tray, but it is easy to clean out as designed.

Where do you recommend putting food and water inside the coop?  There’s not much room.

Asked by: Anna7770
While you can keep small feeder and water inside hanging from the rafters, you may want to keep it outside if the chickens are free range.

How many nesting spaces are there? How can you say it accommodates more than there are nesting spaces?

Asked by: Jeptha
There are 2 boxes for nesting which can accommodate 3 to 4 chickens per box. The manufacturer designed these coops based off the fact that chickens never lay at the same time, but rather they always lay throughout the day.
