Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than wood! We bought 4 of these 2 years ago and glad we did. Wall mount, easy clean, hens love them and the slated roof works great! We love the idea of being able to change location unlike the wood or metal all in 1 types. The fold up bar is great to stop them from sleeping in them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Enticement Needed!! Our hens immediately began using the Little Giant Nesting Boxes and didn’t have to be enticed at all. In fact the three Little Giant Nesting Boxes we had were sometimes all full, so we recently purchased a fourth nesting box for the Bantams and Silkies and placed it much lower to accommodate them. All the girls seem to enjoy the seclusion each box provides and we haven’t heard any complaints!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice nest box! I bought several of these a month ago and my chickens are just getting uaed to them. The box itself is well made and easy clean out. However, there is a hole on the back side of the box, that when installed allows for bedding to fall out. Not a good design.

I have 2 large, 12 pound Jersey Giant hens. Is this large enough to accomodate them?

Asked by: Karen R
The opening is 7 inches x 7 inches. I would imagine they could fit, 1 per box. You may want to measure, and make that decision.

how many boxes do you need for 7 chickens

Asked by: Sunnyboy
Each box can fit 1-2 chickens depending on their size. We recommend using your discretion when deciding on how many boxes would be appropriate for your chickens. However, if you are able to fit 2 in each of them, then 4 boxes would be the minimum you could get. The boxes are 16.5 inches long by 15.88 inches wide by 19.75 inches high, with an opening of 7 inches x 7 inches.
