Rated 4 out of 5 by from Northwest water desperate We desperately need drought resistant cool season grasses here, and this fits the bill. It is the only product I have found which actually fits the bill. My only complaint is that it is not perfect. If it required even less water to get going it would be even better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great seed Product works great !! One must follow the tips. Put down as much seed as you want for thickness of grass, less seed for thin lawn more seed for thick lawn. Do Not put down starter fertilizer with the seed, no fertilizer of any kind. Let lawn grow 3", after first mow(keep mower at 3" height) put down light coat starter fertilizer thats it do not put down any more fertilizer on new grass. All seeded lawns take a month or more to establish then 6 months to really fill in. Remeber also to just keep damp, to much water rots the seed and or the roots. Straw blanket roll cover works the best.

How many pounds per acre would you use for a heavy overseeing, of an area that has just native grasses (weeds) growing there. I have four acres, and have the ability to till the ground.

Asked by: Robert55
It will be 8-10 pounds per 1000 square feet to get the best coverage.
