Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clogs the spreader I bought 4 bags of this when we heard of shelter in place. My soil sample showed I was low in phosphorus. I anticipated this. I had already fertilized. Finally, it was time to apply the next feeding. I patiently waited for a calm morning. Well, all was fine for a single pass. Then I noticed nothing was coming out one side of my spreader. I dumped it into a bucket. Sure enough, it looked like concrete at the bottom. I should have paid attention to reviews. I stored it in the garage. When I dumped it from the bag, it only had one clump the size of a baseball. I broke it up, and it was at the top. I am returning it right now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing results! Worked like a charm. I put this down early spring on a lawn I started last fall. In Pike County PA soil is marginal at best. Everyone was saying that you have to lime - I ran a soil test myself and although the soil is definitely on the acidic side, I decided to give this ago. The benefits were almost immediate. The grass turned a lush dark green and is really starting to thicken. I planted tall fescue for drought tolerance and chose the this starter fertilized to encourage root development. Fescue tends to start off in clumps so it was really nice to see everything start to fill in. Could not be happier. I expect I will make this part of a regular spring fertilizing regime and will look to the other Groundworks products for seasonal and fall fertilizing needs. The excavator who cleared the ground stopped by and could not believe his eyes - the transformation was that incredible.
