GroundWork Pro Series Walk-Behind Spreader, 70 lb., BTGWPS-70 is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor ground clearance 1) Due to the gear drive on the axle it has only a few inches of clearance, not enough for pasture or garden work. 2) The kickstand has zero ground clearance in level operation making it very clumsy to push or pull. 3) The small screw connecting the axle to the drive gear fell out and was lost in the first 2 hours of operation. (This was a pre-assembled part.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Trigger After two busted Scott spreaders I wanted to try something a little more professional. I was surprised there was no trigger to open the setting. Every other spreader I have ever used this was a two step process, set the opening then pull the trigger to open and close as necessary. I tried to adapt but felt like I just couldn’t get and keep a consistent pattern, hoping to be able to return for one with a trigger.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed! Throws fertilizer to the left and back at your feet only. Poor calibration mechanism will not open shoot for consistent drop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GroundWork Push Spreader - don’t waste your money. This isn’t worth the money. The biggest problem is that there is no consistent setting for spreading fertilizer or other chemicals. There is no way to calibrate the opening for the media to go out and every time you shut the spreader off to load and then put the lever back to what was a good setting the opening is either open too much or no enough. Also the handle always leans down on the left side and when you straighten them they go right back in the down position towards the ground on the left side. I’m returning this today as I had enough grub chemical for three acres and got maybe 1 and a half with the discharge not being able to be controlled.

What is the setting conversion to common spreaders (i.e. Scotts)? I've yet to see Groundwork listed on any bagged fertilizer products. I see others have asked the same question. Why not just include it with the product or post online. Thanks.

How may I correlate the 1-10 spreader scale to Scotts recommended settings because virtually all fertilizer bags contain recommended Scotts spreader settings.
