Rated 1 out of 5 by from Incorrect product description Husband purchased this grass seed this evening after we thought it was 50% perennial and 50% annual as stated online. It's actually 80% annual rye 20% perennial I have bunch of grass seed planted that will die off quickly as soon as warm weather hits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works I bought this product on 5/10/18 and planted it on 5/11/18. Please note, I did turn up the top inch or less of my yard first. I was planting this on a back yard which was not taken care of prior to us moving in. This yard was patches of some grass, but mostly dirt/dead spots. I turned up the top inch and put down the seed. I made sure to cover with accessible/extra mulch/dirt/pine needles I had from cleaning up the yard. I would make sure to throw down hay or dirt over this after planting, given the hot Colorado sun. I was skeptical at first for this to actually work in this dry climate. However, I watered the yard (by hose/hand) morning AND night for about 20 minutes each for about 2 weeks. The grass started sprouting about 6 days after I planted it, but I kept watering to be safe. It came up in nice big patches and has worked very well. I would recommend giving this seed a try, since it's a cheaper alternative to other brands. Just remember to give it some cover and water consistently and be patient. I will advise how this grass holds up over the summer... to be continued...
