Looking for a Benchtop Mill/Drill with tapping capabilities that can rival the accuracy and rigidity of a knee mill? Then take a good look at this machine. With the G0761, you'll be making perfect cuts all day long thanks to the dovetail column, table ways, and high-precision P5 spindle bearings. Changing spindle speeds is fast and simple with the gearbox levers and getting the perfect table feed is as easy as dialing-in the variable-speed power feed on the 9-1/2" x 32-1/2" table. The head tilt can be locked in anywhere between 45° left to 45° right while the R8 spindle rotates the cutter.

Nice Mill

I just got my mill mounted on a stand and power connected. I'm happy with this purchase. It's just right for my home hobby shop, Not too heavy, I can move it when needed, and it has enough power to do all of the tasks I need to do.

Overall great mill!

After about a month of tinkering, I'm thinking this is a wonderful investment for my shop. It's the right configuration all around, and it slices and dices through steel. I upgraded from an X2D, which is great for light stuff, but I outgrew it. This mill is heavy, stable, very well built and I LOVE the power feed! I am currently working on a head power-lift modification, which looks promising. Overall, very happy.

I purchased this machine for my shop and somehow I have a need to use it almost every day. Wish I had bought it a long time ago, it is doing a great job.

I have one suggestion for the G0761 heavy duty mill. The corner of the electrical control box on the left side of the mill head has a very sharp bottom left corner. I find that I often place my head far to the left side to visually check where the milling cutter or drill is located in relationship to my layout line and it is very easy to bump my head against that sharp corner. As I have a very high forehead (I am bald!) I have already bumped my head several times and bear some scars from the impact. I am a slow learner and looking from the right side of the machine is no better as the handles that lower the quill get in the way. My solution is to locate piece of packing foam that was made to protect a corner of an object being shipped and cutting out that section that will protect the corner from front, left side and bottom and covering it with a piece of cloth or vinyl fabric using contact cement and then fastening this in place on the control box with some double sided tape. I suggest that Grizzly provide something like this to customers who buy this mill. Thanks for listening John Schamber, otherwise pleased owner of a new G0716 mill
