We took our basic combination Metal Lathe/Milling Machine and increased its capacity and usability. Start with a lathe spindle bore of 3/4 in. and a longer bed. Then added more change gears, inch-cut lead screws, a 4 in. 3-jaw chuck, reversing switch and so much more. This is an excellent machine for anyone, from the home hobbyist to the seasoned machinist. You get a lot of machine in a very small package with all the features you need for just about any job.

Good value, great for hobbyists

I bought one of these more than twenty years ago. It's still basically the same product now, and the price / value of the unit is quite good. If you take the time to set the unit up properly, adjust centers and so on, it'll do quite well for most hobbyist applications. I've used it on many car restoration projects, race cars, exp aircraft, home jobs, etc. It's not a machine a professional machinist is going to want to use daily, but it's better than a sharp stick in the eye and you can get a lot out of it.
