I bought the G0636X in September of 2023. After owning and using Grizzly Tools for many years and being happy with all of them. There are a couple of things that should be known before purchasing this saw. First the tension indicator cable has no business being looped beside the upper wheel as it will get damaged when a blade breaks. In pic 2 is tire damage from a broken blade. I keep spare tires for all of our bandsaws in stock for all of our bandsaws. These tires are not replaceable, you have to buy the whole wheel which is quite expensive. Maybe the poor quality of blades make this saw seem worse than it is but I buy those from Grizzly also. Just a heads up.

Works well, needed some tuning. The table was out in all axiss, so was the guide bar. About 2 hours of tuning. Needed to shim both the guide bar and table to true everything up. Easier than tuning a table saw. Ripped some 9 wide sapele with a 1 Lennox woodmaster ct and couldnt wipe the smile off my face. The cut was true and flat, and fast. Ripped 6x vg Doug fir thats 9 long and couldnt push it too fast, this thing cuts. The 5 hp saw blows doors on the Jet 18 3hp I used to have, as well as tensions the 1 blade without a problem. My one problem with the saw is the tracking. At full tension on 1 blades there is no adjusting tracking. I need to back off on tension make the correction, then fully tension again and check tracking. Theres a little back and forth but not a huge time waster. Overall, for the price (on sale when I bought it) I couldnt be happier. At full price, I would of ponied up for a MM.

I've had this saw for about a month and I love it. So much power, it cuts through anything I push to the blade. I've shaped green maple logs into bowl blanks, cut hardened epoxy tables to size. The large motor powers through everything.
