It does what it's supposed to, but the heat transfer is only ok, not great. Make sure your grill is flat if you try to make eggs on it, they could easily slip off. Oil is required or everything will stick in place. You do get grill marks through the grill mats. I made eggs and pancakes and it worked fine. My grill has flat bars and the spacing is about 1/2". If you already have a cast iron griddle plate, use that instead, if you want something compact that can roll up and pack away this is a good option.
