Dependable Foundations for Your Electric Fencing
As footings that hold electric wire or tape along your fence line, posts are key to your build. You can find many different kinds in our inventory, depending on whether you’re raising a permanent fence or a temporary one.
Which posts are right for your setup depends on the climate you live in and how long you need the post to last. Wood posts are sturdy and long-lasting, but they may need treatment to help them resist rot, especially in areas where wet weather is the norm. Metal posts can be more robust, but they may need coating to help them resist rust. Plastic or fiberglass posts are anti-corrosion and lightweight enough to make them easy to install.

Step-In Posts
Most of the electric posts we offer are this type. Typically made of flexible fiberglass or plastic, step-in posts are more resilient against animal pressure. All you have to do to drive them, usually, is step on a flange, a design that makes them convenient when you have many to install.
Ring-Top Posts
Composed of rugged, UV-resistant materials, ring-top posts are go-to choices for electric dairy fences. They feature ring-shaped insulators or heads that let you securely attach wire or tape – without it tangling or shifting.
Pigtail Posts
Often comprised of spring steel, plastic or fiberglass, pigtail posts are ideal for building enclosures for cattle to strip- or rotational-graze. Like ring-top posts, they’re relatively hassle-free to put up and have an insulated loop or clip at the top, which is made to hold multiple strands of twine, rope or tape.
T-Posts
Made of durable steel or galvanized steel built to last many seasons, T-posts are usually used as corner and end posts to add extra support to an electric fence. Many can be painted for weather-resistance and PVC-coated for added insulation.
