- A: Hi Neighbor- 1. Preparation & Alignment Mark Location: Determine your fence line and mark where each post will go. Guide Wires: Run two guide wires (or strings) to help keep the posts straight and aligned. Sleeve: Slide the provided sleeve over the top of the post; this adds stiffness and helps with driving. 2. Driving the Post Position: Place the post in the ground, ensuring the long fin with pre-drilled holes aligns with your intended fence line. Drive: Use a post driver (or a ram) over the guide wires to drive the post into the ground, 12-18 inches deep. Check Squareness: While driving, adjust the post so it's perfectly upright and square to the fence line.5 months agoHelpful?
