Quickly set up fencing in any outdoor area with Zareba Purple Step-In Fence Posts. Each post features a step-in flange with an anti-rotation spike to secure it in the ground as well as 8 clips that are big enough to hold 2-inch wide polytape. To install, determine your fence perimeter with the step-in posts and then run your fence line between them. Zareba designed these posts with electric fencing in mind, but this purple post is specifically designed for use in conjunction with the no hunting and no trespassing law, which is recognized in 13 states as of 2019. The step-in posts can also be used for crowd control, in construction zones, to hold decorations, or serve as a plant stake for vegetables. Each post is constructed with durable polypropylene and steel, Zareba built these fence posts to last while being easy to install and remove. The built-in clips are set at the following heights (measured from the top of the step-in flange): 5.00 in, 9.50 in, 12.50 in, 17.45 in, 21.45 in, 26.75 in, 30.10 in, 35.25 in (highest fence height). Each post is 39 inches above ground after installation.

Not Sturdy

Needed for temporary small fencing for a horse recovering from an injury. Thankfully she is super respectful of fencing. Any other horse this wouldn’t work. The “step in” process is difficult if your ground is even remotely hard. The step in ledge is extremely small. Some of the entire posts snapped in half while stepping on it. They are not sturdy. Majority of the posts have significant bows in them making the fence even shorter than it already is at less than 4’ but at $2 something a piece I guess you get what you pay for.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Warp in high heat

I bought several of these to use as stakes for eggplant and to support pea fence. The posts badly bent and warped in the heat. Do not recommend for any use.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Inexpensive, easy to use, become brittle too soon

They're easy to use but become brittle too soon. Perhaps that doesn't happen in areas that don't experience freezing weather?
