high quality post
These fiberglass posts really hold up well over time when exposed to sun and weather. I used several hundred of them to run electric fencing and they look as good as the day I bought them. I use J-hook and screw-on insulators with them and even with heavy tightening, these posts do not crack or splinter.
Fiberglass posts without UV inhibitors turn brittle and crack very quickly when exposed to sunlight. If you want to avoid replacing posts every other year, these are the posts for you.

Great new, later not so much
I purchased two dozen of these items, not for electric fence, but to hold up my gladiolus and other tall-growing flowers. My gladiolus have now withered and I need to bring in the bulbs, so I started to pull the stakes. Yeeeow! I was wearing fabric work gloves, but when my hand slid up the rod, shards of the tiny glass fibers broke off the outside of the rod, came through my gloves and penetrated my fingers. I live in southern Georgia, and I suspect the strong sun that we have here might have degraded the outer surface of the rods, allowing the individual fibers to become detached. I still plan to keep using these rods, but not before I have tried sealing them all with a substantial coat of polyurethane - or maybe even fiberglass resin. And for sure I'll be wearing heavy leather gloves next time! Overall I am pleased with the item, and they were priced at decent value - but this situation sure needs attention, either by the user, or ideally, by the manufacturer.

Great quality and price

This worked out perfectly for what I was doing even though it wasn't the intended usage. I needed something to thread through the end of a welded wire fence so I would be able to attach and remove it from a t post easily so I didn't have to make an actual walk through gate. The fiberglass rod was easy to work with and is holding up great so far. Another plus for this product is that it is perfectly smooth...no splintering or rough spots.
Yes, I recommend this product.
