DuMOR Goat Block, 33.3 lb. is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 66.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Goat mineral block There was initial interest in the block but no longer. It just sits in the field and erodes with the weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goats love it First time buying these. The goats love it! Great source of minerals and nutrients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good block. Better shaved & fed as loose minerals This was a hit for sure. My goats like this better than the DuMor loose minerals. Found what they really like is this already ground down. Shaved quite a bit off and put in their house as a loose mineral during rain and that seemed to be a big hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, pleasant curbside pickup! Easy pick up & goat loves it. Yes I will buy again!

My small herd of Spanish goats (4 kids almost a year old, 4 nannies 75lb+, and 1 billy) devour 2 blocks a week. Obviously their bodies are mineral deficient but is this ok for them to eat this much? Will they slow down when they are caught up?

Asked by: Jennifer_J
Directions for this product state that animals should be fed limited amounts for the first few days and then offered free choice. Supply at a rate of 1 block per 12-15 head of goats. Replenish when blocks are two-thirds gone. Be sure goats have roughage and water available at all times. Consumption after the first few days should level off to 0.8 to 1.29 pounds per head per day. If consumption is too high, move blocks further from bedding and watering areas. Do not offer to starving goats. Sounds like these goats are consuming at the higher end of the range. Make sure they have adequate forage. You could consider moving blocks further from where they want to like to congregate.

Should this be under a shelter? Didn’t know if the rain would hurt it. Thanks

Asked by: Pdeaver
It is ideal for the block to be placed out of the elements, but it wont hurt the product or animal, the block will just break down sooner.

We just received two miniature Sicilian donkeys. They will be in the same pasture as our small goat herd. Is it safe for the donkeys to eat this block?

Asked by: MayfieldTX
It depends if this block was made at FW or SPK, it would be fine. If made at EVAN or one of the cattle block plants, it could potentially have been used as a follow for an ionophore-containing feed, in which case it should not be fed to any equid.

Is it safe if sheep ingest it? We a couple sheep in with our goats.

Asked by: Goat gurl
This block contains added copper. Do not feed to sheep or other copper sensitive animals.

Can a mini mare use this too?

Asked by: Jjgirl20
Dumor Goat is not recommended for Minis. Need to use a horse feed to cover their nutritional needs.

The goats are in the same paddock as the horse. Would this product be harmful to the horse?

Asked by: Juli59
The goat feed should not be where the horses can get to it because it is made in plants that are not ionophore free.
