I wanted a battery that had plenty of power but didn’t weigh me down. This power stack battery fit the bill perfectly. In my cold garage, it fired plenty of nails and never left the nail gun wanting more.

I love this battery and the charger that comes with it. They fit together like two peas in a pod.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 20V MAX* XR POWERSTACK™ 5Ah Battery Kit makes all my old batteries almost obsolete. The run time on this new 5Ah battery far exeeds the my old 5Ah battery. Granted, we could account for loss of efficiency over time, but it comes close to 33% more run time than the old equivalent 5Ah battery I have. Not only does it run longer, but it isn't nearly as tall as the previous models. It does, as a caveot have a much larger footprint (i.e wider and deeper), but I find this configuration much more appreciated. The reduced height allows for improved tool height when adding a battery. Most of the Dewalt lineup has the battery adding to the overall length of the tool, which often times can pose problems if you are trying to get into tight areas to work. These batteries having less height allow me to run a larger (5Ah) battery in tight spaces much more easily than the old generation, to the point that I rarely find myself reaching for a 2Ah battery to reduce the size of my tool. The opt for a larger width and depth seems like it might even out the size issue, but it honestly does not pose a big issue for fitment, and if anything is more appreciated. The larger footprint it provides is much more stable if you set your tool down upright on the battery; significantly more stable than previously, and less prone to tipping over. An added quality of life feature is the sustained battery life indicator that stays on for several seconds as opposed to the old generation which is illuminated only while the button is depressed. The DCB1104 charger is icing on the cake with this kit; the 2-stage charging indicator is super helpful if you're having to cycle through several battery charges for a big project. It lets you know when you hit a mostly charged state since the chargers work 2 stages: a fast initial charge and a more trickle-type charge to top off the last ~20% of the battery. The stage 2 charging light lets you know when the fast (80%) charge is finished and is working on the top off. All in all, this kit has been a huge win for my recent projects, and I plan to replace any shot batteries with power stacks when the opportunity arises.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DeWalt Charger DCB1104 12v/20v MAX 4 A DeWalt Power Pack DCBP520 / BOC58BFD 5AH Battery, 20 volt, lithium type. The supplied 5amp Power Pack battery needs to be fully charged initially as per instructions before use. Battery weight is about 1 1/4 lbs. The Power Pack has a handy state of charge on the forward side activated with a push button to light the status bar. The charger is for the DeWalt 12volt to 20volt series batteries a great feature and its function is straight forward. The wide voltage range is great for the other DeWalt tools that use the various voltage and AH rated battery packs. Plug it in and slide the battery pack in. The multi contact panel sets the proper voltage setting automatically. The charging state indicator is a flashing light giving a code as to charge state and completion. The label on the charger and instructions explain it clearly. The charger has an adequate length two conductor polarized cord to meet all requirements. Super easy to use with all my DeWalt electric tools.
