Got mine from Midway USA. Knife is amazing. Sheath sucks. Doesn't fit the blade correctly and will dull the knife over time. I think the CPM 3V is a little thicker than the standard steel SRK, and they are using a sheath designed for the standard SRK. Anyway, I recommend getting this knife and getting a good leather sheath for it or make a kydex one for it.

Excellent knife as expected. I have several older SRKs in Carbon V one of which has been my constant go to belt knife since 1987. Carbon V was great, CPM3V with proper grind, heat treat, temper etc is FAR better. The sheath for this knife however was a bit of a chore.Fit was extremely tight. I used super lube O ring grease to LIGHTLY lubricate the mouth of the sheath and all contact areas on the knife and simply break it in. Fortunately with this SRK I did not experience the dreaded edge dulling effect. But the essential parts of the frog that attach the body of the sheath are too thin, flimsy and weak. Snap on retention strap is pitiful. Can I fix it? Yes. You can remove the rivets , sand the interior contact areas that are too rough, replace those rivets with simple rivet pliers by hand But I do not have heavy sewing capabilities to remake a frog entirely. This would make the sheathes just as good or better than the old kydex models. But this knife is too expensive to HAVE to go to that extent. The knife itself is great but the sheath knocks my approval down a notch

Have 2 v3 cold steel SRKs 2 San mai SRK 2 carbon V and a 2 compact and 3 standard SRK in sk5. One of each is put up for keep sakes I use the the carbon v for a long time. Pick up the V3 and it just the right knife. So that what I use most of the time. When I go to the jungle or swamps I usually take the San Mai SRK it can take the wet Environment really well oh my grandkids have the SK five SRK and really is a good knife.
