- A: Once you place your order with Tractor Supply you can contact the Hatchery at 641-323-6100 and request the week you would like to have the chicks shipped. As long as we have availability we will do our best to accommodate your request. We cannot guarantee a "delivered" date, but we can confirm a hatch/ship date. Depending on your location, delivery can take 1-2 days. We offer a 48-hour live guarantee to account for any unfavorable shipping conditions chicks may encounter on their way to their new homes. After pickup, we kindly ask that you ensure their comfort by keeping them warm and cozy. Our guarantee does not require you to return deceased chicks. Arrived fast but two already dead

We ordered 10 and saved 3. Two were dead on arrival. The other four were treated for pasty butt and given electrolytes. The temperature was maintained and increased if needed. However, they didn't recover. So far, the last 3 seem to be doing well, but we wanted 10 healthy chicks, not 3.

I received my chicks the day after they were shipped. They were all very healthy and now, 2 weeks later, they are still very healthy. It is apparent that they were not all the same age when shipped, as some are more feathered than others at this time, but I am fine with that. I would inform prospective buyers that you do not know when the chicks may ship after you order. Mine were shipped a week after I placed the order. Unlike other sites, you do not pick a date for shipment, but instead they ship them when available.
