Mixed Silkie Special Chickens are named for their unique fluffy plumage, which feels like silk. They have several unusual qualities, such as black skin and bones, blue earlobes, and five toes on each foot. Calm and friendly and the most docile of poultry, they make an ideal pet. I order these birds. Shipping was quick, but the overall process was no expedited quickly enough. 11 baby chicks arrived. One was dead on arrival, so 10 arrived basically. Within 12 hours, all are dead other than 4. It was a traumatic experience watching them die 1 by 1. I feel they could include a heat pack or something for them. They were all much too cold upon arrival. I had to hand feed them all electrolytes and was thankfully able to save 4. Praying they make this experience right. I’m sad I can’t just get a refund and am sure I’ll be sent more chicks. I hate to pay $50 for 4 baby chickens. I hope they don’t all suffer as much as the last of they send more though. This will be my first and last mail order chicks.

I was a little worried about ordering chicks to be shipped but I recently lost my silkie chickens to a fox and was devastated. I am now so glad that I ordered them. my chicks arrived in 2 days, all 10 alive and one bonus chick that I think was likely sent by accident. They all seem very hardy. They are very sweet! Beautiful little chicks. I could not be happier!

I ordered 20 silkie chickens. They contacted me by text to let me know when my chicks left the hatchery and the next day when they arrived at our post office. Since I ordered them through Tractor Supply I didn't have to pay any postage. My chickens were all healthy and good. They are 2 weeks old now and are growing and healthy. I'm very happy with my chickens.
