The pinkish-red, extra-large fruit can reach up to 24 ounces, filling your bread with the full flavor of summer goodness. Known for its outstanding flavor, the rich, meaty fruit tastes great whether eaten alone with a sprinkle of salt or cooked into your favorite culinary creations. Originating in North Carolina, German Johnson flourishes in heat and humidity, producing abundant yields until first frost. Multi-purpose German Johnson tastes great in sandwiches, bruschetta, salads, or cooked into tomato pie. Use the bounty to make a delicious sauce that's perfect for preserving. The indeterminate vines benefit from strong stakes to support the plant's heavy fruit. Plant in full sun after last spring frost, 36 inches apart. Plant reaches 4 to 6 feet tall and matures in 76 days. Be sure to water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, and feed it regularly with Miracle-Gro Plant Food. Beautiful Produce

First time planting this year. I let two plants free range in my garden and at the peak of the season, I pulled 20# of large tomatoes from just them. The tomatoes are large, round shaped and meaty. The plants were extremely healthy and grew well in a summer drought season. I am definitely putting them in the garden next year.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

I usually don't grow heirlooms, but tried this one a few years ago. I really like the flavor, and the plants are very hardy.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
