This All-America Selections winner is a "staple" pepper for the garden, a very reliable plant that can produce loads of mildly sweet peppers throughout the season. Named for their resemblance to a banana in shape and color, Sweet Banana Peppers can be eaten when yellow, or you can wait to harvest them until they turn orange or red (and become sweeter as they do). Fruits have thin skins, making them a great choice for frying and pickling. Plants grow well in large pots. Be sure to mark plants if you are also growing Hot Banana Peppers, as plants and fruits look quite similar.

They are in pots. I didn’t know. I was gonna have to grow them, but they are currently growing. I’m keeping an eye on them. I think a little flower blooms and then your pepper starts to grow from what I’ve seen before.

My favorite plant brand

I love Bonnie Plants! I never seem to be able to grow anything from seeds. So Bonnie Plants always come in the perfect size for me. I love the fact that this brand is also in my home state of Alabama, so it's always easy to find in my local garden centers. This plant offers fun, crisp, yellow peppers that are always great to have on hand in spring and summer. I've transferred it to a bigger pot and placed it in an area that gets full sun.
